Finch Hatton MTB is perfect for beginners and offers the opportunity to progress at your own pace.

We’ve put together a progression series to help you feel comfortable in the saddle and build your skills step by step.

Green Trails: Perfect for Beginners

  1. G’Day G’Day (#01)
    • Distance: Approximately 3.2 kilometres
    • Description: This trail offers a gentle introduction to mountain biking, featuring smooth paths and gradual turns. It’s designed to help novices build confidence while enjoying the serene rainforest surroundings.
  2. Salubrious (#14)
    • Distance: Approximately 0.5 kilometers
    • Description: This trail offers a smooth ride with gentle slopes, allowing beginners to practice their skills in a comfortable setting.
  3. No Wukkas (#08)
    • Distance: Around 0.8 kilometres
    • Description: A short and sweet trail, No Wukkas provides a relaxed ride with minimal elevation changes, making it perfect for those new to the sport.

Once you have these green trails down pat, we’d encourage you to take a step up and try out some of our blue trails!

Blue Trail: A Step Up

  1. Tasty Fig (#04)
    • Distance: About 1 kilometre
    • Description: For those ready to progress, Tasty Fig presents a moderate challenge with larger berms, rollers, and optional jump lines. It’s designed to help riders transition from beginner to intermediate levels, offering a thrilling yet manageable experience.
  2. Bung Eye (#12)
    • Distance: Approximately 1.2 kilometres
    • Description: Bung Eye is a flowy trail featuring a series of berms and gentle rollers. It’s designed to help riders develop cornering skills and maintain momentum, offering a fun and engaging ride for those stepping up from green trails.
  3. Pando’s Alright (#07)
    • Distance: Approximately 1.1 kilometres
    • Description: Pando’s Alright offers a mix of flowing sections and some gentle technical challenges, perfect for riders looking to refine their skills. With sweeping corners and a few small rollers, it delivers an enjoyable experience for those stepping up to blue trails.
