Shuttles are BACK for School Holidays

School holidays are coming up and we’ve got some good news.

The Finch Hatton MTB Shuttle Service is returning from 26 June to 13 July, giving riders more opportunities to spend time where they want to be on the trails.

Because let’s be honest, while climbing has its place, there are days when you just want more laps.

Whether you’re visiting Finch Hatton for the first time, chasing a weekend riding mission with mates, or looking to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays, the shuttle service makes it easier than ever to maximise your time on the mountain.

More Riding. Less Waiting.

The concept is pretty simple.

Jump on the shuttle, head to the top, drop into your favourite trail and do it all again.

With departures every 30 minutes from the Finch Hatton MTB Admin Building, you’ll spend less time climbing and more time flowing through the rainforest.

How It Works

Getting started is easy.

  1. Book your shuttle pass online.
Shuttle Passes available in single, 5x and 10x shuttle passes.
  2. Arrive at the Finch Hatton MTB Admin Building.
  3. Check in with the shuttle driver.
  4. Collect your punch card.
  5. Ride, reload and repeat.

Your ticket can be used on any operating day throughout the service period, making it ideal for both locals and visitors.

The Perfect School Holiday Adventure

Looking for something to do with the family these school holidays?

Finch Hatton MTB offers far more than just great riding.

Spend the morning hitting the trails, cool off at nearby swimming holes, grab lunch in town, then head back out for a few more laps in the afternoon.

It’s the perfect excuse for a day trip, a weekend away, or a few days exploring everything the Pioneer Valley has to offer.

And with the shuttle service operating across multiple weekends and school holiday dates, there’s plenty of flexibility to fit riding into your plans.

This shuttle service is being delivered on a temporary basis by Mackay Regional Council as part of a trial to support rider access to the Finch Hatton Mountain Bike Trails.

Mackay Regional Council acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the Mackay Region the Yuwi, Widi, Barada Barna and Birriah peoples, and the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and their custodianship and connection with land, waters, and communities.

We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and to Elders past and present.
