Fox Superflow Returns to Finch Hatton MTB This Weekend
Get ready, riders, one of Australia’s most popular gravity enduro events is heading back to the Pioneer Valley.
Fox Superflow returns to Finch Hatton MTB on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June, bringing two huge days of racing, riding, community spirit and plenty of good times to the trails.
Whether you’re chasing a podium finish, lining up for your first-ever race, or simply looking for a great excuse to spend a weekend riding with mates, Fox Superflow is all about one thing: racing the way you ride.
What Makes Fox Superflow Different?
Forget strict start orders, stressful race schedules and waiting around all day for your run.
Fox Superflow flips traditional enduro racing on its head.
Riders make their way to the top of each stage untimed, then complete multiple runs throughout the day, with their fastest time counting towards the final results. Ride with your mates, take a reconnaissance lap, stop for a breather, or send your fastest run when you’re feeling good.
It’s a format that allows elite racers, weekend warriors, first-time competitors and young riders to all enjoy the same event together.
No harsh cut-off times.
No pressure.
Just great trails, plenty of riding, and a fun atmosphere from start to finish.
It’s easy to see why Fox Superflow has become Australia’s most popular gravity enduro series.
Why Finch Hatton?
Set against the backdrop of lush subtropical rainforest and the dramatic Pioneer Valley landscape, Finch Hatton MTB has quickly established itself as one of Queensland’s premier riding destinations.
Purpose-built trails, world-class infrastructure and an incredibly welcoming riding community continue to attract riders from across Australia.
For many visitors, the event provides the perfect opportunity to experience everything that makes Finch Hatton special, from flowing descents through rainforest terrain to post-ride swims, local hospitality and the laid-back atmosphere that has become synonymous with the region.
It’s not hard to understand why Rocky Trail Entertainment continues to bring events back to Finch Hatton.
Last Year Was Huge
When Fox Superflow returned to Finch Hatton in 2025, the response was incredible.
Across the weekend, 284 riders took part in the event, with more than 300 additional visitors, spectators, support crews and event staff helping push total attendance beyond 600 people.
Riders travelled from across Queensland, including South East Queensland, Rockhampton, Townsville and Far North Queensland, while visitors also made the trip from New South Wales to experience the Finch Hatton trail network.
The event also highlighted the strength of the local mountain biking community, with around 30% of competitors coming from Mackay, Finch Hatton and surrounding areas.
Beyond the trails, the benefits flowed throughout the wider region.
The event generated more than 1,300 visitor nights and is estimated to have contributed approximately $450,000 to the Mackay visitor economy through accommodation, dining, fuel, retail spending and other visitor expenditure.
Events like Fox Superflow continue to showcase Finch Hatton MTB not only as an exceptional riding destination, but as a significant contributor to regional tourism and economic growth.
Who Will Be Standing on the Podium This Year?
Last year’s racing delivered some impressive performances across the elite categories.
Gold Coast rider Kai Pyyvaara claimed victory in the Elite Men’s category, narrowly edging out Brisbane’s Cameron Allonby and Blue Mountains rider David Ludenia in a fiercely contested battle.
In the women’s competition, Sunshine Coast rider Jess Hoskin topped the podium, while junior standout Kirrily Gates recorded the second-fastest female time of the entire weekend in an incredible performance.
There was local success too, with Claire Weiss claiming victory in the Under 13 Girls category.
With riders expected to return from across Queensland and beyond, all eyes will be on Finch Hatton this weekend to see who can add their name to the growing list of Fox Superflow champions.
Pump & Flow Returns
The action won’t be limited to the trails.
Returning as part of the Fox Superflow weekend is the always-entertaining Pump & Flow event at the Finch Hatton Pump Track.
Whether you’re riding a BMX, dirt jumper, hardtail or mountain bike, Pump & Flow is all about carrying speed, finding rhythm and having fun.
Held on Saturday afternoon, the event is open to:
- Open (15 Years & Over)
- Juniors (5-14 Years)
Last year saw more than 40 riders line up for the event, with plenty of spectators gathering trackside to cheer them on under lights.
At just $30 per rider, it’s the perfect opportunity to get involved and experience another side of the weekend’s action.
Ready to Race?
Whether you’re chasing race results, looking to challenge yourself, or simply keen to spend a weekend riding some of Queensland’s best trails, Fox Superflow promises an unforgettable weekend at Finch Hatton MTB.
