Just getting started with Mountain Biking? Or ready to level up your riding? Finch Hatton MTB is built for progression from smooth green loops to full-send black diamond lines. Whether you’re a first timer looking to build confidence or a seasoned rider chasing the next challenge, there’s a trail here to match your level and push you forward.

Before you hit the trails, roll a few laps on the pump track near the trailhead. It’s the perfect spot to warm up your legs and dial in your balance. Beginners can get a feel for the terrain without pressure, while more experienced riders can play with speed and cornering technique. Plus, it’s a great place to get the stoke going with your crew before dropping into the main network.

Start Here: No Wuckas and No Drama Cane Farmer

These trails are where the fun begins. They’re smooth, wide, and flowy, perfect for learning your bike, building confidence, and finding your rhythm without the pressure of big features or tight corners.

No Wuckas is short and sweet. Starting at Cane Fields Junction, it has gentle rollers, soft corners, and a forgiving gradient. It’s a great warm-up lap and an ideal place to get your bearings, especially if it’s your first time riding rainforest terrain.

No Drama Cane Farmer brings in expansive high ridges, breathtaking views, stacked descending switchbacks, and traverses along a deep valley. Accessed through the rainforest gully along Salubrious, it’s perfect for learning how to read the trail and stay nimble when the dirt starts getting real.

Take your time on these, dial in your balance and braking, and get used to picking your lines. They’re more than beginner trails. They’re the foundation for everything that comes next.

Level Up: Tasty Fig and Kookie

Once you’re comfy on the greens and starting to feel your flow, these trails offer a noticeable step up in both speed and technicality.

Tasty Fig is a fan favourite for a reason. It’s cruisy, a bit longer, and with just enough playful features to keep things interesting. Starting at Kookaburra Junction, it gives you a feel for the kind of flow Finch Hatton is known for.

Kookie is the newest addition to the Finch Hatton MTB Family. This trail introduces the idea of a multi-optional adventure linking Rocky Junction to Cane Fields Jump Park. Kookie includes drops, rock gardens, rock rolls, and some log rides. Note: there is a bypass green trail option for every feature. So, if you aren’t feeling confident enough yet. No stress.

These are your classroom trails. They teach you timing, control, and provide the option to try something a little more advanced.

Ready to Send: Chuck a Sickie and Big Bickies

Now we’re talking. If you’re confident, balanced, and looking to push yourself, it’s time to hit the black diamond lines.

Chuck a Sickie is high-speed, with big berms, techy features, and adrenaline dialled in from start to finish. It demands precision, but the payoff is massive.

Big Bickies is the crown jewel of Finch Hatton MTB’s jump lines. Built for big airtime, it’s a progressive mega-airflow trail that lets you work your way up to larger jumps and more advanced features.

These trails reward smart, confident riding. They’re not about going flat-out. They’re about knowing your bike, reading the terrain, and sending it with style.

Wherever you’re starting from, Finch Hatton MTB has your back. With its smart trail design and clear progression, it’s easy to ride, learn, level up, and do it all again. From green to black, this place isn’t just built for mountain biking. It’s built for riders who want to grow.
